Programs
Arizona Mountain Bike Academy continues to lead the way in high-quality e-MTB instruction in Prescott, offering professional coaching clinics designed to help riders progress with purpose on electric mountain bikes.
The Granite Dells E-MTB 201 Clinic is designed for light intermediate and above e-MTB riders who are already comfortable on their e-bike and ready to challenge themselves. Whether you've taken a 101 clinic or developed your skills through time in the saddle, this session focuses on advancing climbing and descending, improving efficiency, and riding more technical terrain with control and consistency.
Throughout this three-hour clinic, our professionally trained E-MTB coaches will refine the key skills needed to flow through the Dells with confidence. Riders will learn how to manipulate the e-bike to carry momentum more efficiently, maximize traction and power on steep terrain, and make better decisions when navigating complex features both uphill and downhill.
Topics include:
- E-MTB specific information designed by a certified GSMBC E-MTB Instructor - Evan Puglia (Level 3 BICP)
- Fine-tuning e-bike setup for performance and terrain adaptability
- Advanced body positioning, timing, and terrain reading
- Precision pedal-assist control under load and in technical scenarios
- Traction management on steep, loose, and off-camber terrain
- Technical riding with line commitment and balance control
- Descending steeper, more complex terrain
- Sessioning techniques and profesionally designed skill-building progressions
Instruction is led by BICP Level 3 and GSMBC E-MTB certified instructor Evan Puglia, one of the country's most accomplished mountain bike coaches. With over a decade of experience coaching riders across all levels, Evan creates a supportive yet focused environment where riders can challenge themselves, have fun, and refine their craft.
This clinic is ideal for light intermediate to advanced e-MTB riders looking to build on existing skills and gain more confidence on technical terrain. While it naturally follows the progression from our 101 clinic, prior participation is not required. Group size is limited to just six riders, ensuring individualized coaching, personalized feedback, and plenty of time for skill development.
Class 1 e-MTBs are welcome. Discounted rental bikes are available through Thunder Mountain Bikes. Contact AMBA for availability.
Whether you're looking to ride more challenging terrain or simply feel more consistent and in control on your e-bike, this clinic will help you take the next step in your progression.
